The Confidence Chronicles – #4
There’s more to being confident than just how you look. You must take action! Action, actually, is the key to developing self-confidence. Start taking positive action. Practice being self-confident and soon it will become second nature.
Inaction breeds uncertainty and fear, while action breeds confidence, courage and success. Look at your strength and weaknesses. Now FOCUS on your strengths and USE them. Make it a point to CAPITALIZE on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Once you put more energy into your positive traits, your confidence will start to shine through.
Energy flows where attention goes.
Positive energy leads to positive outcomes, so tune your mind to the can-do frequency of any situation, avoiding the negative self-talk that can make you feel less confident and perhaps even stop the action. Our power grows with our sense of purpose, for it gives us the direction that transforms mere energy into effective power.
The more we proactively and successfully direct and assert ourselves, the more momentum we create that propels us onward and upward to unstoppable confidence. By taking tangible measures that improve your competence, you can increase that self-confidence, without the help of anyone else.
Just DO something. Of course, doing something could lead to mistakes … but without mistakes, we would never improve. Just take (positive) ACTION!
