Rosa Parks Day – February 4th
Rosa Parks Day, celebrated on her birthday, and her social significance would not have been possible without CLAUDETTE COLVIN – the brave TEENAGER, who was the first to say no to bus segregation nine months earlier, refusing to give up her seat for a white woman. Thank you to Rosa Parks and Claudette Colvin for saying enough.
I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.”
